No No November
Chatting with a friend recently we both commented, "I'm so stressed." Partly it's the time of year and the early dark. Another factor is the news for sure. I've become a political "junkie" and every time I turn on the news I definitely get a "fix". Way too much keeps happening and it leaves me feeling battered and anxious.
The 2018 mid-term elections are a big deal. Please make sure you VOTE. The choices might not be perfect, pick the candidates that best reflect your values and dreams. After the election take a little ME time. You will have to say NO. That's why it's No No November.
During No No November do what nourishes you. For each person that will be different. For me- it's yoga and walking my dog. My best days are when both these activities happen- I have more energy and positiveness. I also need to "slow down my yes". I say "yes" to things that should make me feel good but end up making me feel stressed because there are only so many hours in a day. It can be hard a times to say NO but slowing it down and giving yourself a chance to see if the yes works can really help balance your life.
No No November is also a great month to change your skincare routine. Some of my favorite cool weather products include our Sweet Island Face Oil, the perfect way to end your day and prepare for a good night’s sleep. Another treat is our luscious all natural Lip Scrubs which gently exfoliates your lips. Mint has hints of summer and chocolate is yummy with no calories. November is the month to add a product that helps you relax and feel better.
Two of my favorite audio books for No No November are The Last Black Unicorn by Tiffany Haddish and Girl Go Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis. Both have strong and unique points of view and humor. Listening to audiobooks helps me break my negative news cycle both literally and the one playing in my head.
Hoping No No November brings you balance and calm.
